Subscriptions, bits, and ads, each shown as its own line.
Subs, bits, and ads
Subs = paying subs × price × share. Bits = bits × $0.01. Ads = (hours × average viewers × breaks / 1,000) × CPM.
Combining them into dollars per hour works for your own tracking, but it does not compare directly to YouTube RPM because the underlying inventory is different.
Prime is not a paid sub
If your dashboard says 200 subs and 120 of them are Prime, the sub line in this calculator will overstate. Count paying recasts separately when you can.
Questions
How much does a Twitch sub pay the streamer?
On a $5.99 US web Tier 1 sub, the standard 50/50 split is about $3.00 before tax paperwork. Mobile subs cost the viewer more but do not pay you more. The Plus Program raises it to 60% or 70% for streamers who hold 100 or 300 Plus Points for three consecutive months.
How much is a bit worth?
The broadcaster receives $0.01 per bit. What the viewer paid to buy those bits is higher. Do not use the store price as your income.
Do ads or subs matter more?
For most mid-size streamers, subs dominate. Ads start to matter with hours and concurrent viewers, and they annoy chat if you lean on them.
