Pool payout, not an ad share

YouTube tells you the Watch Page split. TikTok does not tell you what share of advertising your video produced. It allocates a rewards pool. That is why two creators with similar views can see different RPMs in the same week, and why this estimate is a band.

Rewards ≈ (monthly views × qualified share / 1,000) × Rewards RPM.

Do not paste TikTok views into a YouTube RPM

A million TikTok plays is not a million YouTube long-form views. The ads and the units differ. For a side-by-side comparison, use the compare page, which evaluates each platform on its own unit.

Questions

How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?

Creator-reported Creator Rewards RPM is often about $0.40 to $1.20 on qualified US views. Total views pay less because many plays are not qualified.

What is a qualified view?

TikTok counts views on eligible original videos, generally 1 minute or longer, with real watch time. A scroll-past in the For You feed does not count. If you treat every play as qualified, you will overstate income.

Does TikTok pay more than YouTube?

Per view, long-form YouTube usually pays more, sometimes much more. TikTok can still win on volume. Compare monthly dollars, not RPMs from different units.
