Affiliate commission calculator
Commission from clicks, conversion rate, order value, and commission rate.
The formula
Income = clicks × conversion rate × average order value × commission rate.
Clicks, conversion rate, order value, and commission are all estimates. If conversion rate is a guess, the resulting dollar figure remains a guess even when it looks exact.
Why cookie windows belong on the assumptions list
A 90-day cookie on a slow purchase like a mattress or a CRM still credits you when the buyer comes back weeks later. A 24-hour cookie on a commodity product pays the last click, which is often a coupon site. The calculator cannot see that. You can.
Questions
What is a good affiliate conversion rate?
For cold blog traffic, 1% to 3% is a common planning band. Comparison posts and email lists can run higher. If you need 8% for the income target to work, the offer or the audience is wrong.
What is EPC?
Earnings per click. Commission income divided by clicks. It lets you compare a 4% Amazon click to a 30% SaaS click without fooling yourself with the headline rate.
Should I use this for Amazon Associates?
Yes, with a lower commission and a short cookie. Amazon payout also depends on category rates and a 24-hour cookie, so the high end of this range is optimistic.
