Website ad revenue calculator
Take-home from pageviews, ad network, niche, and traffic source.
Ads, affiliates, and sponsors use different inputs
Display ads depend on pageviews and yield. Affiliates depend on clicks and conversion. Sponsorships depend on selling a placement. The monthly total combines them, but changing one does not automatically move the others.
Ad revenue = (pageviews / 1,000) × Page RPM. Affiliate revenue = clicks × conversion rate × AOV × commission.
AdSense Page RPM is already net
Google keeps 32% of display ad revenue and pays you 68%. The Page RPM shown in AdSense is after that split. If your report says $4.00, you do not need to multiply by 0.68 again. People who do that understate earnings by a third.
Premium-network RPMs assume you got in
Mediavine and Raptive RPMs in this table are typical of accepted sites, not of every site that would like to apply. If you are at 12,000 pageviews, the Mediavine column describes a site you do not run yet.
Questions
What is Page RPM?
Page RPM is ad revenue per 1,000 pageviews. It already includes fill rate, viewability, and (in AdSense reports) Google's share. It is the number to plan from.
How much does AdSense pay per 1,000 pageviews?
Often $1 to $5 on general content, more in finance, insurance, and legal. Google pays publishers 68% of display ad revenue. The Page RPM in your account is the after-share figure.
Why do Mediavine and Raptive pay more?
They run a fuller header-bidding stack, place more ads, and take a 25% share instead of AdSense's 32%. They also turn sites away below a traffic minimum. The higher RPM is real for accepted sites. So is the traffic minimum.
Should I count sessions or pageviews?
Match whatever your ad report uses. AdSense Page RPM is pageviews. Some networks talk in sessions. Mixing them inflates or deflates the estimate.
